Frequently Asked Questions

Online therapy

Are you meeting in person?

I only offer therapy over Zoom (using an encrypted meeting). Many people enjoy the flexibility of online sessions. My training includes techniques for tracking emotions over video, and online sessions can be very effective.

How often would we meet?

Meeting weekly is the best way to make progress. However, meeting every other week might be an option depending on your situation and my current openings.

What is the investment?

Please contact me for the current cost.

Therapy is an investment in your happiness. I take your investment seriously, and do a lot of work outside sessions to serve you better. This includes creating a custom treatment plan, thinking about how your history contributes to your current situation, tracking your goals and progress, attending training several times a month, and more.

My approach includes innovative techniques to solidify the new neural networks associated with the changes you make, which rewires your brain for lasting change. Many clients experience profound changes that can last a lifetime, and which positively impact the people around them, making therapy a valuable long-term investment.

I accept payment by credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card, providing you with convenient and flexible payment options.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, due to low reimbursement rates, I can't accept insurance. However, I can give you a monthly receipt that you can submit to your insurance or to a flexible spending account. You would need to find out whether your insurance covers out-of-network therapy over video (called telehealth). Iā€™d be happy to explain more when we talk.
